Okay – it’s been a while since I have written here, just
because everything seems to be moving so fast! Have any of you ever had that
feeling before?
It’s been some interesting days. We’ve recently joined the
FreeCycle groups in our area, and we’ve been able to find good homes for our
computer desk that was too big for our bedroom, and the cedar wardrobe that was
in my office before it was returned to bedroom status and became too large for
any other room. We also were able to
almost completely equip our kitchen with items from an estate that a local
family had cleaned out and stored in their storage locker. They had answered
our “wanted” posting, and it was an answer to prayer. The baking supplies alone
were wonderful. There was Pampered Chef and Wilton brand items, as well as commercial
quality bakeware. There was a great assortment of cookie
jars, which the girls have promptly begun to fill. Their favorite saying now is

April 11th, 2008:
Well, I’ve finally given in to the blogging bug. I knew it
was coming, but just wanted to deny it for a while yet.
So let’s start with an introduction first:
My name is Rev. C.J. Wiles-Rogers, but I am generally called
‘Jaimie’ (or Mom, or Mummaw, or Grandma depending on who is calling!). I am a
homeschooling mom and grandmother, who was also homeschooled through high
school. I have a Master’s in Elementary Education, and AgriSciences, a Doctorate
in Theology, and I’m currently trying to complete the certification required
for a Master Herbalist, and then I’ll be working on a Master Gardener’s
Certification. I love learning and don’t think we should ever stop!
We live on our little (or not so little since it is over 32
acres) slice of paradise on the Mississippi Gulf Coast (just 10 minutes to the
sandy beaches), and are actively working to rebuild and restore our ranch since
